Laura is one of our Color and Cut Specialists. She has an extensive guest list and loves going beyond clients’ hair expectations. Laura has been a stylist at Colors by Kim for eight years. She has been to numerous color and design classes in Las Vegas and New York City. She also is one of our makeup and formal style artists, also specializing in hair extensions.
Erin
Erin has been working at Colors by Kim as a hair stylist for five years. Erin is Redken Color Certified, a Redken Specialist, and is certified in Pureology haircare products. She loves keeping up on the newest trends and styles and finding what products really work for each individual client. She has attended numerous Redken color and foiling classes. Kristen, Level 3 Stylist
Kristen loves making people feel good about themselves. It is very rewarding to her to know someone feels better because of something she could do for their self esteem. Kristen specializes in formal wedding and up do styles for all occasions. She also specializes in hair straighteners as well as numerous foiling and color techniques. Tammy, Level 3 Stylist
Tammy has been in the hair industry for 20 years. Fifteen of those have been with Colors by Kim. She is a certified Redken Specialist. She enjoys working with a great group of people and being able to grow and learn from the people around me and from the Redken Industry. She has chosen a career that is constantly changing, satisfying, and fun. She strives to allow her guests to be able to go home and re-create the look effortlessly in their own mirrors. Enhancing each person’s best qualities makes the person look and feel awesome every day. She believes educating herself in an continually-evolving industry is the key to her success. Jennifer has a natural love for hair. She is a generational hairstylist, following in the footsteps of her mother. Jennifer has been doing hair for over seven years and has been at Colors by Kim for almost all seven of them. She loves speaking truth in a kind and gentle way about what looks good on her clients. Her inspiration comes from the natural beauty inside, emphasizing God-given features. She completed the Redken Specialist Program in May 2010 as well as higher level classes in haircutting, product knowledge, and advanced styling. Benita has been with Colors by Kim for about three years. She is a Level 1 Stylist with extreme talent and years of experience. Benita’s strength is in long-hair foiling. She is a precision stylist with color and cuts. Benita has attended numerous classes and has become a Redken design specialist.
Kelly, Level 1 Stylist
Kelly loves creating trendy, up-to-date hair styles that have bright, bold colors. She also loves doing sleek styles with warm tones that blend smoothly into one another. Her favorite thing, though, is to provide you with the perfect hair style to match your face shape as well as your lifestyle. Kelly loves to keep up with the latest trends by attending hair shows and by taking continuing education classes. In fact, she was just certified as a cut-and-color specialist by Redken. Nathalie, Level 1 Stylist
Nathalie has worked in the hair industry for over 15 years and continues to attend educational classes to offer new styles and techniques to her guests. She works wonders with textured, curly hair and can cater to a variety of guests from the mature crowd to children. Precision cuts and styles are her specialties, and if you’re looking for permanent waving or have questions on how to maintain your textured curly locks, just ask!
Leah, Associate Stylist
Leah has been the hair industry for about three years. She graduated from the Regency Beauty School in Southgate, Michigan. She is one of our newest additions to the salon and is an assistant to Kim and Laura. She is quickly moving her way to the floor with her determination, her imagination, and her love for hair. She is currently a part of our new talent Fridays. Leah is looking forward to being a full-time stylist within the salon.
Dee Dee, Entry Stylist
Dee Dee is an amazingly gifted and fun hairdresser. She took some years off doing hair as she was busy being a stay-at-home mom. She has a passion for hair with a great pursuit of education and a love for this career. Dee Dee is Kim’s personal assistant and is growing in knowledge of color and design. Jamie, Entry Stylist
Jamie is an entry stylist. She began cutting hair in a Dearborn salon, but due to an injury had to take a year off. After that, she came to work at Colors by Kim. Jamie is the youngest of four sisters, the third to become a hair stylist. Jamie has an amazing natural gift of doing hair. She is just starting on the floor and works part-time as Kim’s personal assistant. Watch for specials offers with her as we build up her guest list. You will love this girl!
